The Howard County Board of Education Friends of Education Award recognizes and shows appreciation to those who have made exemplary contributions to Howard County public education and to increase awareness of the importance of community involvement to the achievement of the school system’s Equity Framework. The nominees must have made unique contributions that support the Board’s mission ensuring success and social-emotional well-being in the community in an inclusive and nurturing environment that closes opportunity gaps.
